Al Hekma International School held the Virtual Model United Nations (AHISMUN) on Thursday & Friday 28th & 29th of January 2021, where students participated virtually from schools from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Yemen & Singapore to promote sustainable development goals in solving global problems of human, cultural, social and economic dimensions strengthening respect for human rights and encouraging basic freedoms for all without distinction of race, gender or language.
The Model United Nations is an activity with the goal of furthering understanding about the United Nations, educating participants about world issues and promoting peace and the work of the United Nations through cooperation and diplomacy from the grass root level. The AHISMUN provides an interactive educational experience that teaches in an interesting and enjoyable way about the United Nations. The process affords participants an understanding of how the process of international debate and negotiation that we call diplomacy functions.
