Al Hekma International School (AHIS) is an American curriculum international school in Bahrain, based in Sanad and serving families across Manama since 1985. We're accredited by MSA and Cognia in the US, we offer the IB Diploma Programme, and we're the first STEM-certified school in Bahrain. AHIS is one of the few private schools in Bahrain offering both the American Diploma and the IB Diploma through our high school programme, which gives students more options when they apply for admission to universities in the US, UK, and the region. AMERICAN CURRICULUM (PRE-K TO GRADE 12)
Our core program follows a US-based academic framework from preschool through high school, with Advanced Placement (AP) courses available in the upper grades. Students graduate with an American High School Diploma recognized by universities in the US and worldwide.
IB DIPLOMA PROGRAMME (GRADES 11 AND 12)
AHIS is an authorized IB World School. Students in their final two years can pursue the IB Diploma Programme alongside the American Diploma, which strengthens applications to top universities in the UK, Europe, and the region.
STEM CERTIFIED PROGRAMS
