American University of Sharjah and Al Hekma International School first school in Bahrain to sign a scholarship partnership
The American University of Sharjah, UAE, and Al Hekma International School in Bahrain signed a “Sharakah” agreement to provide a framework of cooperation and facilitate collaboration in areas of mutual interest. AUS is one of the top-ranked universities in the Gulf attracting students from all over the world with a vast array of degree programs and high quality of education.
The virtual signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ali Shuhaimy, The Executive Director of Enrollment Management University of Sharjah, and Ms. Maya Harb Al Hekma International School principal, as well as a number of senior officials of the two institutions.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between the two institutions by attracting distinguished high achieving Al Hekma’s students from diverse social, cultural, and economic backgrounds to study at the American University of Sharjah and offer the students an opportunity to compete for “Sharakah” scholarship and be considered for financial support via the university’s financial aid program. This is a testament to Al Hekma’s mission and passion to continue supporting its students beyond high school.
The agreement also includes the university’s provision of support for research, cultural, social, and sports activities organized by the school, and the opportunity for school students to participate in the cultural and extra-curricular activities organized by the university annually.
Speaking about the importance of this agreement, Mr. Ali Shuhaimy, The Executive Director of Enrollment Management explained: “We are delighted to welcome Al Hekma International School into the “Sharakah” program at the American University of Sharjah, our goal is to work collaboratively into harnessing and honing the skills of the high achieving students to further develop their careers and lifelong learning.”

وقعت الجامعة الأمريكية في الشارقة ، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، ومدرسة الحكمة الدولية بالبحرين في 30 سبتمبر 2021 اتفاقية “شراكة” لتوفير إطار للتعاون في المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك. علما بأن الجامعة هي واحدة من أفضل الجامعات المصنفة في المنطقة، و التي تجذب الطلاب من جميع أنحاء العالم من خلال مجموعة واسعة من البرامج وجودة التعليم العالية
وقد قام بالتوقيع على الاتفاقية في حفل التوقيع الافتراضي علي الشحيمي المدير التنفيذي لإدارة القبول و الاستقبال في الجامعة الأميركية في الشارقة، ومايا حرب مديرة مدرسة الحكمة الدولية ، إلى جانب حضور عدد من كبار مسؤولي المؤسستين.
تهدف الاتفاقية إلى تعزيز التعاون بين المؤسستين من خلال استقطاب طلاب الحكمة المتميزين المتفوقين من خلفيات اجتماعية وثقافية واقتصادية متنوعة للدراسة في الجامعة الأمريكية في الشارقة من خلال إتاحة الفرصة للطلاب للتنافس على منحة “شراكة” والحصول على الدعم المالي من خلال برنامج المساعدات المالية بالجامعة وهذا دليل على مهمة الحكمة وشغفها لمواصلة دعم طلابها بعد المدرسة الثانوية.
كما تتضمن الاتفاقية تقديم الجامعة دعماً للفعاليات البحثية والثقافية والاجتماعية والرياضية التي تنظمها المدرسة، وإتاحة الفرصة لطلبة المدرسة للمشاركة في الأنشطة الثقافية واللاصفية التي تنظمها الجامعية سنوياً.
وفي حديثه عن أهمية هذه الاتفاقية ، أوضح علي الشحيمي:”يسعدنا أن نرحب بمدرسة الحكمة الدولية في برنامج “شراكة”في الجامعة الأمريكية في الشارقة ، وهدفنا هو العمل بشكل تعاوني لتسخير وصقل مهارات المتفوقين. الطلاب لمواصلة تطوير حياتهم المهنية والتعلم مدى الحياة.”
وأشارت مايا حرب: “تهدف مدرسة الحكمة الدولية إلى تحفيز الفضول والتحدي لدى الطلاب من جميع الأعمار للاستفادة من التعلم الاستثنائي ، وإلهام الشغف والثقة ، وتوسيع معارفهم وتعزيز مهاراتهم. سعت AHIS على مدار العقود الأربعة الماضية ، إلى زيادة الاستثمار في قدرات طلابها ودعمهم بعد المرحلة الثانوية. لا تتوقف رؤيتنا كمدرسة عند التخرج, نحن فخورون بمواصلة توجيه طلابنا لاستكشاف إمكاناتهم الكاملة “.
